Creating Cacti in Collage Studio
In our choice-based art studio, there’s nothing more rewarding than watching children shine through artwork that is truly their own. One of the newest ways I'm encouraging creativity is through our Creative Cacti Lesson using materials from our under-rated Collage Cart. The Collage Cart is a vibrant studio center filled with beautifully discarded "no name" painted papers found on the drying rack, wallpaper remnants, drawers with warm and cool colors scraps, crimpers, scissors, glue and additional materials for the art of collage. To support student choice while offering just the right amount of scaffolding, I created a set of free resources you can download and use.
